“Sometimes you have to grow up before you appreciate how you grew up.” – Daniel Black, Perfect Peace.
The journey to finding perfect peace within ourselves isn’t nearly so complicated as many people think. Healing from emotional wounds, finding good physical health and happiness derived from spirit is all it takes. The first thing we should consider is what we put in our mouth. In the western world, the less we can eat is generally better. Less meat and processed foods, less alcohol and more pure water, more fresh fruit and greens. Most of us know the formula to be healthy but few follow it. When we want the most from our body, the only vessel we will ever have, we must put the best food in.
Perfect peace doesn’t necessarily come easily though. Unless you’re used to exercise on a regular basis start with some moderate warm ups. Get into yoga, try jogging or of course swimming is the ultimate training to burn calories, limber up muscles.
Find some alone time to get into a place of perfect peace within your own head. Cycling has become a popular peaceful endeavour especially amongst fifty something men. However the dangers of the roads don’t warrant the return in our opinion. Getting physical to increase the heart rate is critical to be able to find the self esteem to bring about perfect peace.
Improved nutrition and more activity helps provide us with deeper more valuable sleep. When we sleep, our bodies heal and restore their physical needs. It improves our subconscious dream state and our fully conscious state of mind. No one can function without sleep, and even though the amounts may vary the quality is paramount. As with so many events and practicalities, one good thing leads onto another. We might think we’re finding perfect peace in our sleep state, but the reality is often very different.
The First Step
Nutritious food, plenty of exercise and good sleep are only the precursors to finding good health. Mindfulness is the real beginning. We can bring awareness of everything around us and within us to our conscious mind, this is the start of finding perfect peace. For some it might be a long haul, but we advocate the power of Seven Kriya techniques to help guide you. Perfect peace means finding the place within us and in our physical world, where we want for nothing. It’s where we have all that we could ever want other than wishing the blessings of it on all those who need it more than we do.
