Everybody has a different definition of God. When people say, ‘Do you believe?’ I think they mean the Christian God. There are a lot of gods, so I think they cancel each other out. ~ Sean Hayes.
Yesterday was meant to be the Wild Grandma’s first proper official gig. An event intended to bring more shoppers into town. Obviously, she had to cancel with the current Coronavirus situation. With the news that Debenhams is heading for administration, it’s another household name to bite the dust. Unfortunately it seems the cost to every town will be even more empty shops. We’ve already cancelled or postponed everything in the Blissland diary. People aren’t allowed to congregate, even for religious services. That doesn’t mean we can’t all find our own version of connection to the Divine though. In fact we should all try to connect with our individual view of Spirit.
At such a difficult time like this, the value of our beliefs becomes even more important. Having a daily spiritual practice can make the difference on the fine line of fear and sanity we all walk. Regular physical exercise can’t be overlooked either. We may all be restrained but there are alternative ways to do everything. http://www.lionelpalatine.com Using our time practically is more than just a diversion from the crisis. People are in situations for prolonged periods that they have never experienced before. Many won’t be able to handle the pressure and having to cancel their daily routine will become unbearable.
We’re still consulting on the phone and we’re hearing people’s difficulties. Financial pressures will increase for most of us. Many family birthday parties, weddings, even funerals are having to be altered, cancelled or postponed. It’s not all bad though. Lots of people are finding new ways to entertain themselves. Families particularly with young children are enjoying the simple things in life like painting rainbows. Homeless people are finally getting some accommodation.
Different ways of connecting are being found particularly through technology. So whilst the country has had to cancel its future, a better way forward may emerge. Let’s all be a part of a better more appreciative, less consuming time to come. Gratitude is also coming to the fore and we’re seeing so much dedication to duty with the NHS workers. There have been some mass digital gatherings for meditation, healing and prayer.Laws are changing drastically and both agreement and resistance are growing. Many conspiracy theories and alternative reasoning are also being bandied about.
Use your own common sense and believe very little of what your told. Clear perception of all you see, correct reception of all you hear and complete acceptance of how you feel is paramount now. Whatever your interpretation of God, it’s become more important than ever to maintain it now. Unless you can be categorically convinced otherwise, don’t cancel what you understand to be true. We’re hearing people’s fear on a daily basis. Only the strong will survive both in physical and mental terms. Don’t let your spiritual basis cancel out your survival instinct. Don’t let your emotional fears override your sense of determination.
Connect with a spiritual sanctuary like Blissland to maintain your sense of self xx.
